The Whale by Ethan and Vita Murrow

“GIANT WHALE – OR GIANT HOAX?” screams the headline of The Cape Chronicle. Thus begins the adventure of two pre-teens heck-bent on solving a fifty-year-old mystery and proving  that “the legendary Great Spotted Whale” exists in the waters around their little island. Pick up this near-wordless, pencil-drawn wonder and be prepared for thrills –perhaps not of Jaws proportions — but great enough that our intrepid duo does indeed need a bigger boat.

Here is one more taste of Ethan Murrow’s exquisite illustrations. If you would like to see the rest, pick up a copy of The Whale, and in the words of Quint, “for that, you get the head, the tail, the whole damned thing”.
