Behind the scenes with…Brooke Smart

I fell in love with Brooke Smart’s work the first time I saw her Bringing Up Baby series on Instagram (@brookesmartillustration). The 100-day series depicts the most beautiful, intimate moments between Brooke and her super-cute, three-year-old daughter. Brooke sent some sunshine our way in the form of her newest, summer-themed work from that series AND she let us in on a secret. Brooke is in the early stages of work on her first children’s picture book. While she isn’t ready to reveal any sketches yet (though, when she is, we hope she reveals them here!), she could tell Two in a Tepee that it is a sweet and funny story with the working title “My Human. My Vizsla.” and that the main character is a vizsla dog named Bella. We can’t wait to hear more, Brooke.

Brooke Smart is based in Sandy, Utah. To contact Brooke about commission work, please email her at brooke@brooke-smart.com. Brooke also has an amazing website where you can find prints of her work. Check it out at http://www.brooke-smart.com/.
